Consultation description
The proposals relate to Crown Court fees only. Each option is based on one of two models – the existing Northern Ireland provisions or the England and Wales graduated fee schemes. The options based on the existing Northern Ireland provisions all include an overall reduction in fees coupled with the removal of the higher guilty plea fee. Options based on the graduated fee schemes provide for fees that will deliver savings similar to the options based on the Northern Ireland provisions.
