Consultation description
This consultation seeks views on the reforms to judicial pension arrangements, in the form of the proposed new Northern Ireland Judicial Pension Scheme 2015 (NIJPS 2015) and on the draft regulations that will give effect to the proposed scheme for holders of devolved judicial office.
UPDATE 24 September 2014: Judicial Added Voluntary Contributions Scheme and Partnership Pension Account
The Department is now in a position to provide further details on the proposed Judicial Added Voluntary Contributions Scheme and Partnership Pension Account (PPA), which will be open to all those eligible to join the NIJPS 2015. This update amends the original consultation document. A Departmental statement outlining the proposals is available in the Annex – Judicial Added Voluntary Contributions Scheme and Partnership Pension Account - Update 24 September 2014. This document supersedes the information in the original consultation document and where there is any contradiction between the two the information in this document should be used. The Department welcomes comment on the proposed design of the PPA, and the reforms to judicial pension arrangements.
